"Acting for Two"

Films: Madhouse (1974)

Alias: Doctor Death

Type: Natural

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Envy can drive us to do pretty lousy things. But of all those things, there is no quicker or more despicable thing to do but murder.

History: Herbert Flay was the screenwriting partner of Paul Toombes, an acclaimed actor known for playing the role of serial killer, Doctor Death. Flay, envious of not getting the role first, dons the getup of Death, and beheads Toombes' wife, pinning the blame on him in an effort to destroy his career. It works, but Flay still doesn't get the role, as years later Toombes has been hired to help with a Doctor Death TV series. Time for more killing to put him out of work...

Notable Kills: Stabs a couple together with a broadsword.

Final Fate: After Toombes seemingly burns in suicidal depression, Flay can finally get the role. But Toombes comes back, learns the truth, and lets Flay's unhinged wife kill him and feed him to tarantulas.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-As he is emulating an in-universe popular killer, Flay has a way of doing people in brutally. That mask is also a bit off-putting. But man, all of this because of a little pettiness.

Trivia: -This film was based on the novel known as "Devilday". In that, toombes was an overweight rapist who's alter ego was Dr. Dis.

-If you're observant during the costume party scene, you can see actor Robert Quarry in his Count Yorga costume. Also in the film, Peter Cushing dresses up as his old nemesis, Count Dracula.
